Resolution Retreats has a number of payment options, please discuss with us which would be best for you. The Retreat must be paid for in full by the Retreat start date unless alternative arrangements have been made with us:

  • Lay-by: You may choose to put the Retreat on lay-by. Your place on the Retreat will be held following payment of a $500 or $1,000 deposit (depending upon your retreat ts. The balance of the lay-by is required to be completed by the date the Retreat begins.
  • Finance: We have a finance facility available, through the great team at Q-Card (Fisher & Paykel Finance). Applications can be made through the Retreat facilitator. Repayment options can therefore be tailored to your individual budget. Resolution Retreats customers receive six months interest free using this facility. This facility can also be used in combination with any of the above options.
  • Credit Card: We have an online credit card facility available for you convenience if you wish to pay using credit card, fees apply. If you are wishing to settle the balance of your account via credit card, please let us know and we will process the payment online for you. Credit card is available to pay the initial NZD $500 retreat deposit through our online booking system with no additional fees. If you are wishing to settle the balance of the retreat cost with a credit card (including Visa Debit Card or Mastercard Debit card), please note that a service fee will apply to cover banking charges. The current fee is 2.9% in addition to the total amount payable. Payments by our other available methods do not attract a fee.

Please note, additional products and services purchased during the retreat will be invoiced seperately at the end of the retreat and can be paid by any of the above options. We reserve the right to pass any collection fees on if any invoices exceed overdue dates. Please note, credit card authorisation will be stored securely at time of booking and may be used by us to securely cover unpaid invoices which exceed reasonable overdue allowances.

Reserving your place on a Retreat

A $500 or $1,000 deposit is required to reserve your place on a Retreat (depending on your retreat type). This deposit can be paid using any of the options listed above. Please note this deposit in non-refundable where cancellation of attendance is made less than 30 days prior to the Retreat start date.

The balance of the Retreat cost must be paid 30 days prior to the Retreat start date. Please note, where the balance remains unpaid, your space may be offered to someone on the waiting list.

 

Cancellation of attendance

We understand that sometimes life throws you a curve ball and for some reason you may not be able to attend the Retreat you were so looking forward to. Cancellation can be made by emailing contact@resolutionretreats.co.nz

Please note that the Retreat deposit is non-refundable if cancellation is made 30 days or less prior to the Retreat start date. Short-notice of cancellations affects us greatly. Where cancellation of attendance is advised less than 14 days from the retreat start date, Resolution Retreats may withhold 50% of the retreat cost unless that space can be filled with another full-paying guest.

We strongly recommend that all retreat guests have travel insurance for while they are on the Retreat. If you need to leave once the retreat has started, for reasons beyond your or our control, such as illness, family illness, etc., bookings are non-cancellable and non-refundable. We therefore encourage travel insurance, just in case.

 

Our weight loss guarantee

A huge part of what we do centres around assisting you to reach your weight loss goals. We make a commitment to each of our guests that they will lose weight on one of our Retreats, and we take that commitment very seriously. Weight loss is different for everybody, and therefore we tailor your journey and your Retreat specifically for you to make to the most of your time on the Retreat. The guarantee has the following terms and conditions:

  • When you arrive on the Retreat we will weigh you and we will both agree that you will be less than that weight when you leave the Retreat, otherwise we will refund your Retreat cost at your request. We will weigh you again on your last day to ensure we have fulfilled out commitment to you in this regard.
  • Guests must complete the whole Retreat.
  • Guests must only eat the foods provided to them by their Retreat facilitator, which have been recommended specifically for them by our Nutritionist. Guests may not bring food from home or buy food while on retreat etc. This is a very strict requirement.
  • Guests must take part in all the physical activities set out and follow the strict instructions of our Personal Trainer.
  • Guests must follow the instructions given to them by the Retreat facilitator relating to detoxification requirements.
  • Guests must follow the instructions given to them by the Retreat facilitator.

Please note the weight loss guarantee is not included with our Three Day Taster, Seven Day Renewal and Day Stay Retreat packages.

 

Beauty Therapy Cancellation Policy

Pampering is a big part of taking some time out on retreat. We don’t have a beauty therapist on site full-time, but we bring a therapist in wherever possible to fill demand for treatments. We endeavour to, wherever possible, provide requested treatments subject to availability. Where a treatment has been specifically requested and a cancellation is made of less than 48 hours’ notice, and that spot cannot be filled with another paying client, we would still need to charge for that treatment, as the therapist will still charge for the treatment.

 

These terms and conditions ensure that you get the most out of your time on the Retreat and leave looking and feeling great. Feel free to discuss any of these terms and conditions with your Retreat facilitator or programme coordinator.

RETREAT RELEASE OF LIABILITY:

Please read carefully: In consideration of the services provided by Resolution Retreats and their respective agents, employees, directors, officers, contractors, volunteers (collectively the “Released Parties”), in connection with participants’ participation in the Resolution Retreats live-in Retreat program (“the program”), I as a participant, agree as follows:  I am familiar with the Resolution Retreats program and the activities that will be undertaken. I have been given the opportunity to ask questions about those activities, and those questions have been answered to my satisfaction. I understand that participation in the program creates a risk of injury and I expressly acknowledge and assume the risk of such injury to the participant. The some of the risks associated with the activities on the Program include, but are not limited to, sunburn, dehydration, exhaustion, slipping and falling, sprains and strains, and other mild or serious injuries and conditions.  I agree that this description of risks is not complete, and that unknown or unanticipated risks may result in property loss, injury or death. I understand that the unique character of this Program is to serve participants who are potentially overweight, medically fragile and/or high risk. I agree that I have been given sufficient opportunity to discuss the Program and its risks with a medical practitioner. I have submitted, to the best of my knowledge, complete health history information to the above-named organisation and represent that I am free of medical or physical conditions that might create undue risk, or where such conditions exist, undertake the Program, having regard for those same conditions, at my own risk. Where I am unsure, I have highlighted those conditions to the programme facilitator. I represent that I am fully capable of participating in this Program. Therefore, I assume and accept full responsibility and assume the risk of and for any injury, death, loss of personal property, and/or expenses that may result from my participation in this Program, and I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties, and to the fullest extent of the law, from any and all claims, damages, losses, or liability that may result form my participation in the Program.

Food allergies and Allergies Notification, Acknowledgement, and Release of Liability: An environment free from allergens, including but not limited to food allergens, cannot be guaranteed by Resolution Retreats. While reasonable efforts will be made to serve food not containing allergens as ingredients, Resolution Retreats prepares meals in a facility that uses nuts, soy, wheat, and other known allergens. Therefore, the Released Parties cannot guarantee that any particular food product is free of all traced of any particular allergen, that consumption of a food product, where allergies exist, will not result in some form of allergic reaction, or that the Participant will not come into contact with any allergens while on the Program. The undersigned acknowledges that agrees that she is aware of such risks and that participation in the Program will expose the Participant to food, activities and persons that may result in exposure to allergens and injury, in that regard, and assuming such risks, the undersigned hereby fully releases and discharges the Released Parties from any and all liability and/or responsibility to the Participant, the undersigned, or any third party for death and/or injuries to the Participant, and/or any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, or any damages that arise out of or relate to the Participant’s participation in the Program and/or exposure to food allergens.

Damage to Property: The release of liability also covers damage to the property of the participant, Resolution Retreats, Ridge Country Retreat, or other contractors’ property by the participant, either intentionally, or unintentionally. The participant agrees that they discharge Resolution Retreats, its owners, and principals against any charges for damage incurred or damage to the property of other participants, contractors, or Ridge Country Retreat by the participant, either intentionally or unintentionally. Please note credit card authorisation will be stored securely at time of booking and will be used by us or our insurers to cover incidental items such as breakages or damage incurred during your stay.

Physical Activities while on Retreat: The release of liability also covers participation in any physical activity offered by Resolution Retreats or it’s respective agents, employees, directors, officers, contractors, or volunteers. I understand that certain elements of the Program are physically demanding and that I should only participate if I am free of medical or physical conditions which might create undue risk to myself or other participants. I acknowledge that I am free from such conditions and I am aware that these activities involve potential for injury to myself and/or my property. To the extent that I participate in such activities, I do so voluntarily, and I assume full responsibility for any loss, and/or inconvenience resulting from my participation. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all liability incurred as a result of my participation. I also agree that this release of liability shall serve as a complete legal release and assumption of risk from others acting on my behalf.

Promotional Photo Release:  One of the best ways to communicate the effectiveness of our programmes is through photographs, video, and testimonials from/of our program participants. We may use these in our brochures, newsletters, and on our website. I agree that photographs taken of me or other material, excluding personal information and health history, shall become property of and may be used by Resolution Retreats at its discretion, for any publicity or marketing purposes, and I hereby consent and authorise such use without restriction.

By transacting with us you agree to the above and the following conditions and releases of liability:

  • I agree that I have had the opportunity to see a medical practitioner about the risks involved with undertaking this Program
  • I agree that I have made the Retreat Facilitator aware of all relevant medical conditions and/or concerns which may affect my ability to participate in the activities on the Program
  • I agree that I have made that Retreat Facilitator aware of all allergies, food or otherwise, which may affect my ability to consume certain foods and/or undertake certain activities on the Program.
  • I agree that I give full release of any photos or videos taken during the retreat for use in promotional material purposes.

 

I have read and accept these releases of liability and the retreat terms and conditions.
